I am not one to wear my politics on my sleeve-but with Obama\u00a0it has been different.\u00a0(refer to my November post).\u00a0\u00a0 I have been keeping my cynicism at bay-letting my hope rise to the surface and actually feeling patriotic.\u00a0 Proud.\u00a0 There is just something different about this time.\u00a0 This is really happening.\u00a0 Really.\u00a0 In my life time-in my daughters lifetime.\u00a0\u00a0 Not that I am gathering a group to sing Bob Marley’s One Love….for the upteeth thousand time in the last three days.\u00a0 Not that I support the war anymore than I ever have.\u00a0 Not that I don’t think we have a dark, dark period to get through.\u00a0 Not that I think one person can do it all.\u00a0 But I have more hope than I ever have about the fate of my country.\u00a0 About the fate of the human being humans race.<\/p>\n

Someone sent the following to me today.\u00a0 I think the words ring true and I hope-I hope we can all seek the following:\u00a0 Let us all-in the midst of this great change go forth:<\/p>\n

Openly and hopefully unguarded-clear of the cloud of cynicism. If you speak to God-or if you don’t -let us pray we move forward and be clear in purpose, clear in righteousness, clear in resolve. FOR US ALL.<\/p>\n

Let us all hope for things that make us stronger, taller, kinder, more generous, tolerant, patient, assured.\u00a0 Better.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Better than before.<\/p>\n
