<\/a><\/p>\nMy dreams are back.\u00a0They leave me from time to time-mainly because\u00a0I don’t sleep well.\u00a0But I have packed in a few doozies this week!\u00a0It has been this way for some time.\u00a0 I think I could be one of those people who says they really only need 4 hours of sleep-but maybe not.\u00a0I\u00a0love a good afternoon nap-but\u00a0those are rare.\u00a0I am not one of those people who boasts\u00a0 “why sleep?\u00a0 “you can sleep when you die…”\u00a0 I don’t need 8 hours-but I do need good dream sleep.\u00a0 Deep dream sleep.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I never have super hero dreams- not unless you count the one I had with Marky Mark- when we were action heroes-not the same thing I know-but still…and I was going through a time of complete vulnerability- so I can see the connection-but still- No cape wearing letter adornment on my chest super hero dreams……I don’t have standing naked on a stage dreams-probably because- when I am working on a show I feel naked anyway while I am on stage-naked to the soul..winkwink-actor speak………I don’t have falling someone catch me dreams-or being chased through the woods dreams……I have dreams that seem so real to me I could reach out and become a part of the dream.\u00a0 I have dreams that leave me crying or laughing-dreams that I could swear depicted another life at another time.\u00a0 3D super real at times dreams.<\/p>\n
For instance:\u00a0 Early on while setting up home health care aides for my mother-and trying to navigate that whole world-and coming to grips that strangers will now be in the house-and trusting that I have to trust-an aide came into our lives through a very reputable agency.\u00a0 There was no need or\u00a0cause for concern.\u00a0\u00a0However,\u00a0there was\u00a0something about her that was off-though we could not put our finger on just what is was- being around her and talking to her made me feel like I was in a Stephen King novel.\u00a0 Was she just odd or were we in trouble?………..we asked the agency about any background information we could be privy to-we double checked her information-and with the exception of her confessing she was ” a bit hyper”- we could not find anything wrong.\u00a0 We had to trust we might just be a little over protective.\u00a0This was all new to us.\u00a0 \u00a0Long story short- she was a bit more than hyper-and was slowly moving in to my mom’s house, while stealing her medication and other\u00a0items from my mother’s home.\u00a0 Once she was caught-when we finally did uncover an extremely troubled background-she called the house several times- drunk- begging to speak to “mom”.\u00a0 It actually freaked me out-and suffice it\u00a0to say- she was fired.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Warrants were issued and new safety measures put into place.\u00a0 She has never been heard from since.\u00a0 BUT, the other night, I had a dream she was secretly living in my mom’s\u00a0garage with her three children……….In the dream I\u00a0had gone in the garage for some boxes and crazy woman,\u00a0 with her hair all disheveled, rounded the corner and asked me how “mom” was doing.\u00a0 She looked strung out and said her kids were starving- then asked if I could bring them something to eat…..She seemed\u00a0so real I tried, in my sleep,\u00a0to reach for her throat. Suddenly I woke -up and my husband was choking……naaaaaaa, I’m just kidding-but the dream was real.\u00a0 Real enough I called around the next day to make sure that nut case was somewhere far away from my mother.<\/p>\n
Perhaps, just maybe, I’ll try having one of those naked dreams?\u00a0 Perhaps.<\/a><\/p>\n
